FLASH: House Passes Biennial Budget 62-36

The Indiana House has just passed a biennial budget by a 62-36 vote shortly before 5 p.m. today. Fourteen Democrats cross over to join the 48 Republicans. It avoided a shutdown of state services at midnight tonight. It will be a $27.8 billion budget that gives schools an increase of 1.1 percent in 2010 and 0.3 percent in 2011.
