I barrel race and one of my horses that i have been traing on barrels for the past year has been ducking the first barrel. he has never done that until just recently. any tips on how to get him to stop? I have tried approaching the barrel from a long distance, taking it slow, and a tie-down. and, no, he is not bored of the pattern, he goes around the other barrels fine. i have also tried switching to starting the other barrel. it doesnt work.
